Christmas and New Year Opening Hours at the Museum

Recharge in the Primordial Forest during the Christmas holidays!
Our museum will be open from Boxing Day until Epiphany, Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–18:00. During this period, we’ll also offer plenty of guided tours.
We’ll take a break for Christmas, and the museum will be closed from 22–25 December 2025.
Extended opening hours begin on Boxing Day, 26 December 2025. From 26 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, the museum will be exceptionally open Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–18:00. The museum is closed on Mondays.

We return to our normal winter opening hours on 7 January 2026:
Tue–Fri 11:00–16:00, Sat–Sun 11:00–17:00.

Gallen-Kallela Museum
Designed and built by artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865-1931), the Tarvaspää Studio Castle presents temporary exhibitions of the art and life of Gallen-Kallela and his contemporaries, as well as contemporary art. The museum offers a wide range of activities and events and serves as a centre of information on Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
