International Museum Day: Free Admission
18.05.2025–18.05.2025
International Museum Day on Sunday 18.5.2025
The Gallen-Kallela Museum celebrates International Museum Day by offering free admission to our current exhibition Aleksandra Ionowa – Visions of the Spirit World and Peace. The museum is open from 11-18. Visitors are kindly requested to enter the museum through the ticket office.
International Museum Day has been celebrated on 18 May since 1977. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of the role of museums in society, both among the public and among decision-makers. Today, nearly 30 000 museums in more than 120 countries around the world participate in International Museum Day celebrations through various events.
Museum visits are organised according to museum’s safety guidelines. For this reason, we can only admit a limited number of visitors at a time. So be prepared for a possible queue and check the museum’s accessibility information before your visit.
