We offer a weekly guided tour in English, included in the museum ticket price, every Saturday at 3 pm.
Private Guided Tours for Groups
Explore the current exhibition and the stories of Akseli Gallen-Kallela's Tarvaspää studio on a private guided tour. Please note the group sizes specified for each tour. Larger groups will be guided in consecutive groups.
- The tour fee does not include museum admission.
- Admission fee €7–14. Museum Card or Kaikukortti are applicable.
- Groups of more than 8 people pay a discounted group admission fee of €9 per person. We reserve the right to change prices.
We can usually arrange guided tours in Finnish and English at shorter notice, but tours in other languages require more time as we need to ensure the availability of specific guides.

Please note that the Gallen-Kallela Museum’s guided tour services and entrance fees are exempt from VAT.
Akseli Intro – 15 min €50
A concise introduction to the current exhibition and the Gallen-Kallela Museum.
Maximum 8 participants. Languages: Finnish, English.
45 min guided tour on weekdays – €95
A comprehensive tour of the current exhibition, and upon request, Gallen-Kallela’s history, art, and stories.
Maximum 25 participants. Languages: Finnish, English, Swedish. Tours can also be arranged in Ukrainian and Russian upon request.

Gallen-Kallela Museum
Designed and built by artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865-1931), the Tarvaspää Studio Castle presents temporary exhibitions of the art and life of Gallen-Kallela and his contemporaries, as well as contemporary art. The museum offers a wide range of activities and events and serves as a centre of information on Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
