The Gallen-Kallela Museum is open every day over Easter from 11 am to 5 pm. Public guided tours are also offered daily:

  • Fri 3 April at 1 pm – public guided tour in Finnish

  • Sat 4 April at 2 pm – public guided tour in Swedish, duration approx. 30 minutes

  • Sat 4 April at 3 pm – public guided tour in English, duration approx. 30 minutes

  • Sun 3 April at 1 pm – public guided tour in Finnish

  • Mon 4 April at 1 pm – public guided tour in Finnish

The duration of the public guided tour, which is open to all museum visitors, is approximately 45 minutes unless otherwise stated. Participation is included with the museum admission fee, the Museum Card, or the Kaikukortti. The tour takes place on the museum’s lower floor, which is accessible to almost all visitors.

What can you expect from the tour? The guide will talk about the life and art of Akseli Gallen-Kallela as well as our current exhibition, taking participants’ wishes and questions into account. The tours begin in the exhibition studio and feature selected artworks and engaging stories.

Public events at the Gallen-Kallela Museum are organized in accordance with art, building, and visitor safety regulations. The guide will provide instructions at the beginning of the tour. A maximum of 25 participants can join a guided tour. Places cannot be reserved in advance, and groups are not permitted to join the public tour.  Please contact the museum’s customer service at info@gallen-kallela.fi if you have any questions.
