Explore our exhibition together with our guide

During the museums winter season we organise open public tours in English on Saturdays at 3 pm.  The first guided tour for our new exhibition will be on 2oth of September.

The guided tour is open to all museum visitors and lasts approximately 45 minutes. You can join the guided tour with a museum admission fee, Finnish Museum Card (Museokortti) or a Kaikukortti. The guided tour takes place on the ground floor of the museum, which is accessible to almost all museum visitors.

What can you expect during the tour? The guide will tell you about the life of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, the architecture of Tarvaspää atelier building and our current exhibition, also taking into account the wishes and questions of the participants. The guided tours will start from the atelier, and interesting works and stories will be selected for the tour.

’The guide’s ability to bring life to the exhibition was impressive.’

Public events at the Gallen-Kallela Museum are organised in accordance with art, building and public safety regulations. The guide explains the instructions at the beginning of the tour. The maximum number of participants for a guided tour is 25. You cannot reserve a place in advance.

Another event may replace the open public tour. Please contact the museum’s customer service if you have any questions!
