Step into the magic of Finnish art and architecture at the Gallen-Kallela Museum, a serene winter escape by the shores of Laajalahti Bay in Espoo. Our unique museum is just a short trip from Helsinki city centre!

Why Visit?

  • Explore the life and works of Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865–1931) in his dreamlike atelier, built and designed by the artist himself in 1911–1913.
  • Admire extraordinary architecture, and a beautiful garden in a cozy setting near Leppävaara, Espoo.
  • Enjoy traditional Finnish salmon soup and delicious cakes and pastries in our charming museum café located in a historical wooden villa.

Current Exhibition: Primeval Forest – In the Footsteps of Pentti Linkola
